Once upon a time, a mom checked on her blog and realized, "It's been quite a while since I've found/made the time to blog! A lot has happened since the end of September! I realized that I never blogged about my 25th anniversary party (and they said it would never last). We had a "barn dance" of sorts in the church gym. There were sunflowers aplenty sitting in mason jars atop bandanas for the centerpieces. There were also haybales (small on the tables, and large in the corner of the room). We had music playing (custom made CDs with all of the music that Kerry and I listened to all those years ago! Alabama, Kenny Rogers, George Strait, The Bellamy Brothers, etc.). An anniversary cake in the corner, and lots of fried chicken and potato salad for dinner. It was a great night, thanks to all of my "kids"! And, I'm happy to say that I would do it all again! Here's to another 25 years!
I also turned 45 years old since I last blogged. That makes me what my family refers to as "halfway to dead", assuming, of course, that I live to 90! haha
We've had our first Halloween in Idaho without snow! Or at least the first Halloween in recent memory! It was really quite pleasant!
I've had many clinical hours since last we met. I was worried that I may not like nursing afterall....all of these years of waiting...what if I got "into it" and discovered that it wasn't for me?! Not to fear! I LOVE IT!!!! I still want to be a nurse when I grow up! :D
We had a great Thanksgiving with all of our children. So many of them to be thankful for! We also completed our traditional "Black Friday" shopping! We seem to be dropping the men like flies, however....they just don't seem to enjoy the thrill as much as we womenfolk!
I have finished my semester at school! Because they raised the silly grade scale (silly, because I didn't reach it...) to 95% for an A, and 90-94% an A-, I don't have a 4.0 any longer. However, I still have straight A's! (at least, that is what I'm going to call them! who cares if there is a little old minus sign next to most of them?)
Last, but not least, we have a new addition to the family planned. No, nobody new is expecting! :D We are getting a new son-in-law to add to the family in March. Trevor and Jessie are our new couple! We are all so excited to add him to the family! It appears that his family appreciates our Jessie as well."
And they all lived happily ever after!
